Employee of the Month

Kathy McNair is a RN On-Call/CaseManager for hospice. Kathy really defined “Because Life Matters” in the month of May. Her full-time job is on-call nurse during the week for all of our patients. Due to several nurses being out due to illness in May Kathy graciously agreed to also work during the daytime hours and make patient visits. Kathy is a very compassionate and caring nurse to all the patients she sees. Thank you Kathy.

Question of the Month

Can My Family Afford Hospice?

You can't afford not to.

Most insurance companies, including Medicare and Medicaid, will pay for Hospice benefits. Generally there is very little that comes out of your pocket for Hospice care. Almost always coverage includes such things as beds, commodes, oxygen and even your medications related to your illness or hospice comfort care.

Please call and ask how you can be afforded the opportunity to receive hospice care from Catholic Community Hospice.

Contributions

Thank you for considering a gift to Catholic Community Hospice, the area's only Catholic faith-based hospice. Your generosity helps make it possible for us to provide end-of-life care to those with no ability to pay. It also provides you with several ways to memorialize a loved one that benefited from hospice care.

  • Cash Contributions: One way to contribute to the ongoing operations of Catholic Community Hospice is to make a cash contribution to the agency. Undesignated cash contributions will be used for operational expenses and special projects.
  • Memorial Contributions: Another way to support the work of Catholic Community Hospice is to make a contribution in the name of your loved one, and to encourage others to do likewise. To make a memorial contribution, simply contact Catholic Community Hospice at the number below, and provide some basic information about your loved one. Contributions made in your loved one's name by other parties will be recorded and made available to you for your convenience.
  • Planned Gifts : Finally, contributions to Catholic Community Hospice can also be made through wills, life insurance, stocks, trusts or bequests to our endowment. For more information, please call the number listed below.
